How To Play Reversi
Learning to play Reversi is easy! Here is how to play:
- At the start of the game you place 4 pieces in the middle of the board. You will place 2 red and 2 green. After, usually the darker color goes first. You can flip a coin or roll a dice if you’d like so kids can take turns.
- Then you will put your piece on the board next to your opponents.
- You will want to flank their piece. That means you will want 1 of your piece on the left and right of their piece. Then you flip the piece over to your color. That means you captured it.
- You will keep taking turns to capture each other’s pieces until the board is full or until no one can take another turn.
- The person with the most pieces win!

Family game night was so awesome! We all had a blast playing Reversi on a giant board. We had drinks and popcorn and played it in turns. Once someone won the next person challenged the winner and we went from there.
We did modify it for my younger children who struggled with the rules. But overall, we all had a blast. It was simple, fun, and just a great way to spend time with the family.
